... well, kind of.
Today is my last day at work as an associate of Finnegan, Henderson. It's been a great five years, and I wish the firm and everyone in it nothing but the best, but I have never done anything for five years (or lived in one place for more than five years), so the itch and opportunity came to do something different... so I am. Oh, and a shout out to the clients. They rule also.
Schedule for the weekend, I have a going away happy hour today at the Warehouse for me and my 2-100 closest friends. In otherwords, I have no idea who is coming.
Friday, I leave for two days of camping at Assateague Island with the horses and mosquitoes.
Monday, I drive 8 hours to Indianapolis to visit my friend who just had his first child (son).
Tuesday, I drive 8 hours from Indianapolis to Des Moines and meet my craigslist roommates. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.
Wednesday, I start work on the Barack Obama campaign as an Intern in Asian and Young Professional Outreach. I have no idea what that means or entails.
Sorry this is so boring, but I actually had work to do on my last day (what is up with that) so it was a bit hurried. And I lost my cable for my camera so I can't download pictures quite yet.
If you want something much more entertaining to read, my old roommate at Arnold & Porter recently took a three month leave of absence to take Spanish emersion classes in Spain (Seville and Barcelona). He is also one of the coolest and funniest people alive, as you will no doubt see when you read his blog.
That's it for now. Update probably on Sunday. Peace out.
